Academic Year or Semester Program

Academic Year or Semester Program

Language And Hispanic Culture Program

This program was created to respond to the international students’ needs to be integrated into the academic community and also to know intensely the Argentinean culture.

The program offers a variety of classes: Intermediate and Advanced Spanish, Modern History of Argentina and Latin America, Argentine Popular Culture, Argentine Literature, Tango, and Cultural workshop (Argentine traditional cuisine, Folklore music and dances, Horse-back riding lessons, among other activities.)

International students also have the option of taking courses with Argentinean students through the Career Studies Plan. This is an interesting and effective way to help the international students integrate with other Argentinean students.

Since all courses are taught in Spanish, an intermediate level of the language is required (a minimum of four semesters, either at a university level or its equivalent from another institution). If they don’t reach the Spanish level required they can take the Intensive Spanish Program a month before regular classes begin.

Includes:

  • Transportation from the Cordoba International Airport to the university campus – the students should arrive during the dates set in the schedule
  • Theoretical and practical classes.
  • Accommodation with an Argentine host family, which includes three meals per day and laundry service.
